Remember, you do not receive payment or compensation for house-sitting, so it is important to be financially independent during your assignment. You will receive, in return for your tasks and duties, free accommodation and the opportunity to live in and/or visit either another city or suburb, or even a different State or country. While typically you are not charged for accommodation, heating, or A/C, you may have to provide your own transport and you will have to cover your daily eating and entertainment expenses. Neither are airfares typically included and so would be an expense you have to consider.
